Wakil Menteri Agama (Wamenag) Romo Muhammad Syafi’i, in a meeting with the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), announced that the government aims to finalize the pilgrimage cost for the year 1446 H/2025 M by January 10, 2025. This cost will include the total Cost of Hajj Implementation (BPIH) and the Cost of Hajj Travel (Bipih) to be borne by pilgrims.
Romo stated, “Our plan is to have it confirmed by January 10 for a swift decision,” after attending a working meeting with Commission VIII of the DPR RI in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (30/12/2024).
Similarly, the Chairman of the Hajj Task Force in DPR, Abdul Wachid, mentioned that they will continue to hold meetings despite the recess period. Discussions on the organization of the pilgrimage will take place from January 2 to January 10.
Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Umar, also attended a meeting with Commission VIII of the DPR today to discuss the preliminary arrangements for the pilgrimage. During the meeting, the Minister presented a proposal for the average BPIH in 2025, amounting to Rp 93,389,684. The audit value of 30 percent, released by the Hajj Finance Management Agency (BPKH), is Rp 28,016,905.50.
Consequently, the Bipih, which will be borne by pilgrims, amounts to 70 percent of the total BPIH, estimated at Rp 65,372,779.49. This figure remains a proposal from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and will be finalized in a joint agreement with the DPR.
